Miriam Di Penta Fine Arts offers museum quality, highly selected and researched Italian Old Masters Paintings and works by artists active in Italy from the XVIth to the early XIXth century. The Gallery additionally offers a choice of Drawings, Sculptures and Decorative Arts across the centuries, all cherry-picked for their quality, unique style and taste.
Each of the artworks offered by the Gallery is the result of intensive research and a painstaking curatorial process honed in a constant dialogue with international experts, curators and conservators, in order to offer only the rarest and finest quality pieces, all displayed and presented to the public in prime conditions and ready-to-hang.
The paintings selected by the Gallery include prominent names of the Italian Baroque, a subject which falls specifically within the range of Dr. Di Penta's expertise: Luca Giordano, Mattia Preti, Bernardo Cavallino, Corrado Giaquinto, Nicolas Tournier and the Caravaggesque movement; Agostino Tassi, Filippo Napoletano, Domenico Gargiulo and still-life paintings by Paolo Porpora and Giuseppe Recco, together with French, Flemish and Northern European artists active in Italy like Paul Brill, Peter Boel, Hans Rottenhammer and Gerrit van Honthorst are only among the few names whose works have been discovered and displayed at Miriam Di Penta Fine Arts.

Every single piece is painstakingly selected, researched, expertised and conserved in order to present it at its best and ready to hang. By appointment only.
While crossing the threshold of Palazzo Capponi-Antonelli – owned by the Renaissance family of Florentine bankers - the visitor is welcomed by the iconic head of Alexander the Great, emerging among the plants surrounding the courtyard fountain and introducing us to a place of timeless peace and beauty, the perfect setting for enjoying and contemplating works of art.

Dr. Di Penta is a dealer and a scholar having published two major monographs: Giovan Battista Spinola, cardinal San Cesareo, collezionista e mecenate di Baciccio (Gangemi editore, Roma 2007); and Andrea de Leone (Napoli 1610-1685): Dipinti e Disegni (De Luca editori d’Arte, Roma 2016). Mostly focused on Baroque art, artists and patronage, her list of publications includes many essays and articles published on the most renowned scientific journals including the “Journal of the Warburg and Courtauld Institutes” and “Paragone”.
